The Globe Kit includes a 20 cm snap together globe of the northern and southern hemispheres, a base, two transparent hemisphere overlays, a center disk showing core and mantle, an external protractor, a 5 cm x 8 cm mirror, a flexible kilometer ruler, and two 10 cm rods with suction cups. -- The unique base has been constructed so the globe can be rotated at 23-1/2 degrees with or without the transparent sphere that facilitates the study of day and night, the seasons and other positions. -- The transparent hemispheres must be used separately or over the globe, and allow you to plot ocean currents, weather conditions, spacecraft orbits and time zones with water soluble ink. -- The hemispheres are molded of styrene and will not shrink; the outer hemispheres are clear acetate and will not yellow or stain from water soluble ink.
