This globe continuously rotates without the need of an energy source other than the ambient light of your home or office. Developed over the course of six years by a team of physicists, the globe operates in apparent violation of the laws of thermodynamics. An enclosed photocell uses room light to power an internal drive that interacts with the earth's magnetic field to spin the globe. The globe is suspended in a clear liquid inside of a clear shell allowing a mere .1 microwatts of energy to cause rotation. The globe continues to spin even when held in your hand.
