This beautifully hand crafted and hand finished globe and stand by Authentic Models replicates the complicated gravure printing process, resulting in the sharpest lines, words, and symbols. The historically accurate globe was made using original charts from 1745 by father and son Vaugundy, the leading map makers in France during the 1700's appointed to the position of geographer to Louis XV. The rich globe stand is made wood and bronze, while the globe is made of wood, bronze, paper and plastic.
